Gotu kola (centella asiatica) in India, where this plant is native, is used as the Chinese use ginseng. The name Gotu "kola" often raises questions of the plant possibly containing caffeine. While it is often touted as a longevity herb, there is no relation to the caffeine containing cola nut.
